Qualifications
Four years database and/or membership management experience which includes two years working in fundraising or equivalent field. Demonstrated customer relations, professionalism, and effective communication skills. Preferred: B.A./B.S. in related field, experience administering correspondence and general knowledge of fundraising industry and best practices.
Duties
This position is an integral part of a dedicated fundraising team supporting Utah’s largest public radio station, KUER FM90. The successful candidate will provide support to the Manager of Individual and Major Giving and other members of the development department by organizing and maintaining the donor database—comprising of running existing reports, data entry, segmentation, managing member records of a complex nature, processing gifts and payments as they are received and other database-related duties as assigned. This position will also be responsible for creating and managing correspondence related to the membership program, fund drive premiums, and occasional member events. Other specific duties include assisting with the preparation and distribution of membership direct mail and e-mail solicitations, maintaining relationship with vendors, managing donor acknowledgments, and answering member inquiries. Also coordinates and assists with membership activities which include twice-yearly on-air pledge drives, phone-a-thons and other duties as needed. Works closely with all members of the Development Department along with members, listeners and volunteers to accomplish overall fundraising and membership goals.
Work schedule
30 hrs/week. Hours flexible within 8-5, M-F. Occasional weekends and evenings.
