KUER has been bringing award-winning jazz music to Utah since the 1970s. Each weeknight from 8 to midnight, host Steve Williams plays classic jazz from Duke Ellington to Miles Davis and beyond as well as interviews with up-and-coming jazz artists. Hosts, Steve Williams, Mike Anderson, and Chuck Waagen keep the mix of jazz coming your way on the weekends.

The printable version is intended to be a listing of artists and recordings deemed essential to a basic jazz library. Some of the recordings are simply a best of recording, so as to introduce a collector to an overall composite of the artist's work, not necessarily the most historic recording. Order doesn't determine importance of one recording over the other.
