Alzheimer's Patients Finding Benefits of Art

Salt Lake City, UT – Over 30,000 Utahns are living with Alzheimer's disease, the most common form of dementia. While patients with advanced Alzheimer's lose many personality traits and the ability to communicate, art therapies are showing promise in breaking through the Alzheimer's haze. KUER's Jennifer Napier-Pearce reports.

A free screening of the documentary "I Remember Better When I Paint" will be shown Monday, Dec. 6 at 7 p.m. at the Salt Lake City Main Library, 210 E. 400, Salt Lake City. A panel discussion will follow the film.
