Image of Invitation.
KUED

Join KUED and KUER on Monday, February 11 at 7 p.m., for a free screening and discussion surrounding "Coal's Deadly Dust," at the Salt Lake City Library. FRONTLINE and NPR investigate the rise of severe black lung disease among coal miners, and the failure to respond. This joint investigation reveals the biggest disease clusters ever documented, and how the industry and the government failed to protect miners.

Howard Berkes, Salt Lake City resident and former NPR correspondent, will join KUER's news director Andrew Becker for a discussion following the episode.

Admission is free, but seating is limited. If you'd like to secure a seat, please RSVP to ldurham@kued.org by Thursday, February 7.

Visit our Facebook event page for more details.
