Payson Family Drops Discrimination Lawsuit Against Boy Scouts Of America

A Payson family is withdrawing their lawsuit against the Boy Scouts of America now that the organization has agreed to help their Boy Scout who has Down syndrome reach his Eagle rank. The Salt Lake Tribune reports Logan Blythe will be offered resources to make the top rank as a Boy Scout attainable by the 15-year-old.

The family filed suit March 13th after local scout council officials approved, and then, the next day, suspended Logan's Eagle project. Logan's parents sued for a minimum of one dollar and for their son to be reinstated and accommodated within the Scouts.

That’s also where he met his wife, Maria Shilaos, in 1981. Bob left KUER for commercial radio where he worked for 25 years, and he is thrilled to be back at KUER. Bob and his family are part of an explorer group, fondly known as The Hordes and Masses, which has been seeking out ghost towns and little-known places in Utah for more than twenty years.
