The Deseret Power Coooperative's Bonanza power plant near Vernal, Utah
By Elizabeth Wynn Johnson / Yanmei Xie
Washington, DC – Deseret Power operates a coal-fired power plant about 30 miles southeast of Vernal on the eastern edge of Utah. The Bonanza plant supplies power to municipal utilities and rural electric co-ops across the state.
