Salt Lake City, UT – About 40 percent of Utah's voters turned out for yesterday's presidential primary election -- 284 -thousand Republicans cast ballots, along with 123-thousand Democrats and unaffiliated voters. The Republicans gave Mitt Romney a smashing victory -- no surprise there. Perhaps the more exciting race was on the Democratic side, with Barack Obama clinching the victory over Hillary Clinton. And for the state's political observers, Utah's first February primary was a resounding success. KUER's Jenny Brundin reports.
