Supreme Court to Review Nike Labor Case

NPR's Robert Siegel talks with NPR's Nina Totenberg about the Supreme Court's decision to accept review of a case involving Nike Inc. and a labor activist who wants to sue the company. The activist contends a Nike ad campaign and its defense against charges of bad labor practices are instances of commercial speech -- and in fact lies -- and therefore actionable. Nike says it's protected under freedom of speech.
