Salt Lake City, UT – Partisan politics may be nothing new, but the extent to which it defines the inner workings of congress may surprise you. This year, it even reached the Congressional Softball League when a group of Republican teams seceded. The Democratic commisioner had created a play-off structure the Republicans dubbed "Welfare Bracketology." In her new book "Fight Club Politics," Washington Post reporter Juliet Eilperin looks at how representatives' dedication to their party has surpassed their commitment to their constituents.
