3/24/08: Let Their People Come

Lant Pritchett
Lant Pritchett

By Doug Fabrizio

Salt Lake City, UT – Harvard Kennedy School economist Lant Pritchett spent more than 10 years at the World Bank. He's seen trade and aid dispersed to the world's most impoverished regions - and still the separation between rich countries and poor countries continues to grow. As a Mormon born and raised in Utah and Idaho, Pritchett sees migration as part of his culture. He also sees it as a solution to poverty. Pritchett joins Doug in studio to talk about his controversial idea - that opening national borders will benefit economies around the globe.
