Sonia Johnson ran president in 1984. She had served as chair of Mormons for ERA, and had been excommunicated from the LDS Church in 1979.

Salt Lake City, UT – Did you know there have been ten Mormons who have run for president of the United States? Tuesday on RadioWest, historians Newell Bringhurst and Craig Foster join us to tell the stories of the nine men and one woman who made their bid and failed.
