Margaret Fuller, 1810-1850
Margaret Fuller, 1810-1850

By Doug Fabrizio

Salt Lake City, Utah – You know the names Thoreau and Hawthorne, but are you familiar with Fuller? Margaret Fuller was part of the American Transcendentalist movement of the 19th Century. She was a woman ahead of her time, a journalist and a women's rights advocate. Playwright Kathleen Cahill met her through the writings of Emerson, who referred to the "The Margaret Fuller Problem." Cahill and others join us to talk about the new play "Charm" and about the life of a woman fighting for her voice in a man's world.

The world premiere of "Charm" runs through May 9 at the Salt Lake Acting Company. For tickets and more information, call 801-363-7522 or click here
