By Doug Fabrizio
Salt Lake City, Utah – When Henry Hudson searched for a route to Asia in 1609, he reached a dead end in present-day New York. Though he didn't find the riches he expected, Hudson returned to Europe with stories of the furs of North America and with that changed the course of history for the next 300 years. The writer Eric Jay Dolin has written a new book that chronicles the impact of the fur trade on the continent. He's coming to Utah and Thursday, he joins Doug to talk about "Fur, Fortune and Empire."
This Saturday, August 14 at 7:00 p.m., Eric Jay Dolin will speak at the Salt Lake City Public Library. For more information, call 801-524-8200 or click here
