1/26/11: How to Die in Oregon

By Doug Fabrizio

Salt Lake City, Utah – Wednesday, we're talking about the Sundance documentary "How to Die in Oregon," which the New York Times called "one of the most difficult-to-watch movies of the festival." The film follows terminally ill patients who are deciding when and if to end their lives under Oregon's "Death with Dignity Act." Filmmaker Peter D. Richardson says it's not just about dying though; it's also about people asking "How do I want to live this day?"

There are three more screenings of "How to Die in Oregon" at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival:

  • 3:00 PM, Wed, Jan 26 at the Broadway Centre Cinemas in Salt Lake City
  • 8:30 AM, Thu, Jan 27 at Prospector Square Theater in Park City
  • 5:30 PM, Fri, Jan 28 at Holiday Village Cinema in Park City.
