3/3/11: The Epic Struggle for Water

By Doug Fabrizio

Salt Lake City, Utah – From ancient times, the ability to control water has shaped the human landscape. Water has built and destroyed empires and it's at the heart of our quality of life. The journalist Steven Solomon has written a book on this precious resource, but it's not just a history. Solomon says that fresh water has replaced oil as a main cause of global conflicts and how we handle it in the future will define our destiny. Steven Solomon is coming to Utah and Thursday he joins us for RadioWest.

On Tuesday, March 8, Steven Solomon will speak as part of Westminster College's Weldon J. Taylor Executive Lecture Series, in partnership with the Utah Council for Citizen Diplomacy's Ambassador John Price and Marcia Price World Affairs Lectures Series and American Express. The free event begins at 7:00 p.m. at the Vieve Gore Concert Hall, Westminster College, 1840 South 1300 East. For more information, click here
