But renowned exhibit designer Ralph Appelbaum sees a museum as a place for an emotional experience that gives visitors a visceral connection to their world. Appelbaum created the exhibits for the new Natural History Museum of Utah and Thursday, he and others join Doug to talk about how the character of museums has evolved over time and about what people may experience at Utah's newest home for discovery.
