Dan Nailen previews World Party's first concert in Salt Lake City, along with shows by Fishbone and Jason Isbell. And Betsy Burton reviews "Gasa Gasa Girl Goes to Camp: a Nisei Youth Behind a World War II Fence" (University of Utah Press) by Lily Nakai Havey, about her coming of age in two Japanese American internment camps.


Lily Havey is a teacher, a writer, a mother (her son, Michael Havey, is KUER's Operations Manager) and an artist who works in stained glass as well as water color. Her paintings are on display in the Lower Urban Room Gallery at the Main Library through the end of June, 2014. Lily Havey will visit The King's English on June 18, 2014 at 7 p.m. to discuss her book.
