Salt Flat News 9-2-2008

Salt Lake City, UT – Sometimes it's just hard to move on. Something gets stuck in your brain and stays there. In Richard Goldberger's case .what has captured his mind and soul is a quirky and peculiar newspaper he helped start called the Salt Flat News, based in Utah's west desert. The first issue came out July 4, 1970 and its circulation grew to 80,000. It lasted on and off, about four years - long enough for the likes of CBS's Harry Reasoner to rave about it. But Goldberger - quirky and peculiar himself - can't stop thinking about his defunct tabloid. KUER's Jenny Brundin starts her portrait by asking Mr. Goldberger to introduce himself and the paper.
