Moab, UT – In Moab, the city will soon act on a controversial rezoning of a mobile home park to make way for a resort. Elected officials have not commented on the proposal, but Tuesday night they heard overwhelming opposition in a packed council chambers. Developer Randy Day purchased the Red Rock Mobile Home Park four years ago and plans to sell it to the Wyndham Hotel chain. Day says the evictions will continue regardless of whether he gets the rezoning and he's promised to help provide new affordable housing south of town. Chris Baird reports from Moab.
