Salt Lake City, UT –

In January, the Salt Lake City library underwent a major staff reorganization supervisors were forced to reapply for their jobs, some individuals were moved to different branches, and a few employees were demoted while others were promoted. Some members of the library board and the Salt Lake City Council have supported changes made by library director Beth Elder, but recently employees have been expressing their concerns with the direction the library is taking. Yesterday during a board meeting to discuss the budget, multiple people came forward to voice their dissatisfaction with the current situation. Kim Schuske has this report.
