Granger High Teacher Talks About School Improvement Plan
By Jenny Brundin
Salt Lake City, UT – Granger High in West Valley City is part of an education reform plan to raise graduation rates and reduce class failures. Signs show so far that it's working. The school has used a $2 million dollar federal grant to cut class size in half for sophomore English and math. It also provides tutoring, and has an intensive tracking program to make sure kids don't skip class. Yesterday we visited the school to see how it's working. Today KUER's Jenny Brundin talks with sophomore English teacher Janelle Johns.
