January 16: Through the Lens | Dawson City: Frozen Time

In this meditation on cinema’s past, director Bill Morrison (Decasia) pieces together the bizarre true history of a long-lost collection of 533 nitrate film prints from the early 1900s discovered in 1978 in Dawson City, the center of the Canadian Gold Rush and the final stop on for a distribution chain that sent prints and newsreels to the Yukon.

Join us Tuesday, 16 January 2018 at 7pm at the Rose Wagner Center (138 Broadway, Salt Lake City, UT 84101) for a FREE Through The Lens film screening of Dawson City: Frozen Time + post-film Q&A with director Bill Morrison, moderated by RadioWest host Doug Fabrizio. This screening is presented as part of our monthly Through The Lens series in partnership by Utah Film CenterKUER 90.1, and RadioWest.
