On Wednesday, May 15, we’re screening Union Pacific at 7 p.m. at the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center in downtown Salt Lake City. It’s part of RadioWest's Through the Lens series, our partnership with Utah Film Center. Film historian James D'Arc will join RadioWest host Doug Fabrizio for a post-film discussion. This is a free event.

Union Pacific is Cecil B. DeMille's classic tale of rail companies racing westward, competing for transcontinental glory.

This particular screening is presented as part of Spike 150, Utah’s 150th-anniversary celebration of one of the most iconic and life-altering events in America’s history – the completion of the Transcontinental Railroad – which happened in Utah on May 10, 1869.

Directed by Cecil B. DeMille
135 min | 1939 | USA | Not Rated
Cast: Barbara Stanwyck, Joel McCrea, Akim Tamiroff
