Julie Otsuka's mother, uncle, and grandmother were interned at the Topaz internment camp in Utah. Her new novel is a fictional account of those internment counts. January 16, she will be reading a portion of her novel at Sundance and the reading will later be broadcast on NPR. She will also be at King's English for a reading and signing on Jan 17th, at 7pm.

Also on, Jane Bequith, a high school teacher in Delta, Utah and researcher into the interment camp in Delta.
