Salt Lake City, Utah – The ancient Chinese called it "the mother of fevers"; Indian Vedic sages labeled it "the king of diseases." And after thousands of years, malaria continues to confound and afflict, killing nearly a million people annually. Journalist Sonia Shah has written a book that traces malaria's resilience. It's called "The Fever" and Wednesday, Shah joins Jennifer Napier-Pearce to describe how the disease continues to change the course of human history.
