In Jonathan Galassi’s novel Muse(Knopf), booklover Paul Dukach is caught up in the rivalry between two men—each lions of the publishing industry—and the famous poet they both love. In her review, Betsy Burton says the book’s “deepest pleasure is its paean to books—and to those who write them, those who bring them to the marketplace, those who sell them.”

Austen Diamond says it’s a great week for outdoor concerts. June may be upon us, but the spirit of Mardi Gras will rise again when Marchfourth Marching Band performs at Snowbasin on Sunday, June 14.  They’ll be part of the resort’s Blues, Brews & BBQ Summer Concert Series.

Before that, think about catching Tedeschi Trucks Band and Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings at Red Butte Garden on Friday, June 12.  Gates open at 5:00pm

And rock legends The Doobie Brothers will be at the Sandy Amphitheater on Wednesday, June 10.
