8/11/09: Best Worst Movie

Michael Paul Stephenson in 1989 as Joshua Waits in \"Troll 2.\"

By Doug Fabrizio

Salt Lake City, UT – In 1989, a film crew arrived in Morgan, Utah to create a movie - the horrifying tale of a family that becomes the target of man-eating monsters. The result though was "Troll 2" - widely regarded as the worst movie of all times. It went on to become a cult classic and 20 years later, the film's child star wanted to figure out why. Michael Paul Stephenson is in Utah for the Salt Lake City Film Festival and Tuesday he joins Doug in studio to talk about his documentary Best Worst Movie.

The Salt Lake City Film Festival runs this Friday through Sunday, August 14-16. You can catch "Best Worst Movie" Friday at 7:00 p.m. and Saturday at 12:30 p.m. at the Tower Theater. There will also be a screening of "Troll 2" Saturday at 9:30 p.m. at the Tower Theater. Tickets are on sale at The Tower Theater & Slowtrain Music.
