Utah Dem Drops Out Of Chair Race Amid Harassment Allegations

A candidate for Utah Democratic Party state chair is dropping out of the race following allegations of sexual impropriety.

Rob Miller announced Thursday on Facebook that he would withdraw from the race and his membership from the party to become an unaffiliated voter.

The news comes after seven female members of the Utah Democratic Party accused Miller of inappropriate conduct. Miller, the party’s former vice chair and treasurer, has denied any wrongdoing.

Democrats will vote for a new chair among the eight remaining candidates at their state convention on June 17 at Weber State University.
