Salt Lake City, UT – Wednesday we're rebroadcasting our conversation with the writer and boatman Brad Dimock. His latest book details the extraordinary life of a very ordinary man, Bert Loper. Loper was one of the grand old men of the Colorado, known to have covered more water than any riverman of his time. But there are really two story lines in the Loper tale. One of them is the birth and evolution of river running itself. Dimock is coming to Salt Lake as part of the Utah Humanities Book Festival. (Rebroadcast)
This Saturday at 11:00 a.m., Brad Dimock will present Tales of the Colorado River: Three River Legends from the Depths of the Grand Canyon. His lecture will be held at the Salt Lake City Public Library as part of The Utah Humanities Book Festival. For a full schedule of events, click here. Dimock joins the festival in cooperation with Ken Sanders Rare Books .
