9/30/10: The Grace of Silence

By Doug Fabrizio

Salt Lake City, Utah – Michele Norris is the co-host of NPR's "All Things Considered," so it makes sense that when she set out to write a book about "the hidden conversation" on race in America, she would bring a reporter's eye to the work. What surprised her though, was that a sort of code of silence was the norm in her own family. Thursday, Norris joins Doug to talk about her new book "The Grace of Silence," and about how even the things that weren't said had a profound effect on the person she would become.

Michele Norris is coming to Utah as a guest of The King's English. She'll give a reading from "The Grace of Silence" on Wednesday, November 10th at 7:00 p.m. at the Salt Lake City Public Library. For details, all the store at (801) 484-9100 or click here
