By Jennifer Napier-Pearce

Salt Lake City, Utah – In his State of the Union address, President Obama highlighted science education, saying, "We need to teach our kids that it's not just the winner of the Super Bowl who deserves to be celebrated, but the winner of the science fair." How do we make science achievement a cultural value and how do we improve the way schools teach science? Friday, guest host Jennifer Napier-Pearce speaks with Dr. Shawn Carlson, a MacArthur fellow and founder of the Society for Amateur Scientists, and Dr. Adam Johnston, physics professor at Weber State University and co-founder of Science Education at the Crossroads.
