2/15/11: Sons of Perdition

By Doug Fabrizio

Salt Lake City, Utah – St. George, Utah is only an hour away from Warren Jeffs' polygamist community, but it might as well be another planet. Children of the fundamentalist group are taught little to nothing of the outside world, and they're told that leaving their faith means their damnation. Tuesday, we're talking to the creators of a new documentary that follows 3 teenage boys who fled to St. George - and had to give up their families and everything they knew to create a new life. It's called Sons of Perdition.

  • "Sons of Perdition" opens this Friday, February 18th at the Tower Theatre in Salt Lake City. On Friday and Saturday nights, director and producer Tyler Measom will be on hand - along with guests from the film - for a Q&A session following the 7:00 p.m. screenings.
  • The film opens in West Jordan, West Valley City, Provo and in Phoenix on February 25th. It will also screen in Oak Cliffs, Texas. For further details on all of the screenings, visit Sons of Perdition on-line.
