4/11/12: The Day My God Died

Salt Lake City, Utah – Wednesday, we continue our Through the Lens film series with the powerful documentary "The Day My God Died." It tells the story of young girls abducted from their villages in Asia and sold into the child sex trade. Anuradha Koirala, the acclaimed activist who battles the sexual exploitation of women and children will be among our guests. Then we'll screen the film at 7:00 p.m. at the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center.

  • Wednesday, April 11, RadioWest and the Utah Film Center will host a free screening of "The Day My God Died" at the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center. The event begins at 7:00 p.m. There will be a Q&A immediately following the film. [Details]
  • "The Day My God Died" will also be screened tonight at 7:00 p.m. at the Hunter Conference Center on the campus of Southern Utah University in Cedar City. Tomorrow at 11:30 a.m., Anuradha Koirala will speak at SUU. It's all part of the University's Human Traffricking Conference, which runs April 12 and 13. [Details]
  • The Department of Justice is hosting a national symposium here in Salt Lake City through Friday. It's aimed at creating a nation-wide strategy to stop human trafficking in North America. At 5:30, they'll screen the film "Sex + Money: A National Search for Human Worth" at the Hilton Salt Lake City Center. [Details]
