Salt Lake City, UT –
Governor Jon Huntsman announced yesterday that he will resign as governor only after being confirmed by the U.S. Senate. Huntsman was nominated on Saturday by President Barack Obama as U.S. ambassador to China. Lt. Governor Gary Herbert, though, will take over some of the governor's duties immediately. Huntsman and Herbert relayed their thoughts on the events of the past week to a roomful of reporters at the State Capitol yesterday. Kuer's Jenny Brundin reports.
