Salt Lake City, UT – A new report shows that hundreds of thousands of Utahns are still hurting from the economic recession. The report's author, economist Allison Rowland of Voices for Utah Children, says one of the best ways to fix the economy is supporting consumer demand. That means policies to help people stay in their homes, retrain for new jobs, or go back to school. KUER's Jenny Brundin sat down with Rowland, who compares Utah's 2.6% unemployment rate in 2007, to where it is now.
