KUER Programming During Senate Impeachment Trial

Illustration of U.S. Capitol.
Annette Elizabeth Allen for NPR

During the Senate impeachment trial of President Donald Trump, KUER is airing coverage and analysis from NPR News. That coverage, which typically starts at 11 a.m. MT, Monday through Saturday, will regularly preempt our midday and evening programming, including All Things Considered. KUER’s popular local program, RadioWest, will air earlier than normal during the trial.

Here’s how to listen to NPR’s trial coverage -- or to KUER-2, an alternate channel of KUER’s regular programming. Due to the unpredictability of live coverage, this schedule is subject to change. Please consult our program schedules for KUER and KUER-2, or follow us on social media.

Special Coverage: How To Listen

Broadcast: The trial airs live on 90.1 FM along the Wasatch Front or on a station in KUER’s statewide broadcast network. (Here’s how to find a station near you.

Online: You can also listen via our live stream at KUER.org, via the KUER app, or on your smartspeaker (tell your device to “play KUER.”)

Regular Programming: How To Listen (on KUER-2)

Note: KUER-2 is an alternate, 24/7 channel that normally airs BBC World Service. During the Senate trial, KUER’s regular program schedule will feed on KUER-2 until 7 p.m.

Broadcast: If your radio is HD-compatible, you can find KUER-2 as the second subchannel on 90.1 FM. Important: KUER broadcasts in HD mostly along the Wasatch Front.

Online: KUER-2 streams live in the audio player on KUER.org, on our mobile app, and on your smartspeaker (tell your device to “Play KUER Two”).

How Do I Listen To RadioWest?

Our popular local program hosted by Doug Fabrizio will air at different times during the trial. Catch Friday’s two-hour version a bit earlier, from 9 to 11 a.m. Hour 1 repeats at 8 p.m. on Friday, then Hour 2 airs on Saturday morning at 9 a.m. This subject is subject to change on short notice.

Meanwhile, podcasts are rarely preempted! Subscribe to RadioWest’s free podcast to listen to Doug’s conversations on-demand, whenever you like.

KUER is broadcasting the trial live as part of our statewide news mission and our commitment to public service. Please check KUER.org and our social media for regular updates about our broadcast schedule.

As always, please send us your feedback about our programming and news coverage.
