KUER Wins Regional Edward R. Murrow For Social Media
KUER has been honored with a regional Edward R. Murrow Award from the Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA). The station was cited for "excellence in social media" for a digital project produced for the 2018 midterm elections.
In the run-up to the election, KUER created infographics intended to help listeners and readers better understand what they would see on the ballot in the 2018 elections. These "cheat sheets" broke down statewide races and ballot measures into digestable, shareable snapshots that explained key elements of the measures and the top candidates' stances on hot-button issues. They were shared on KUER's website, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts.
