Edgar Zuniga Named KUUB Program Director
The new bilingual radio station owned by the University of Utah has announced its program director. Edgar Zuniga will lead KUUB (formerly KCPW) beginning July 1. Sister stations PBS Utah and KUER, also licensed to the University, acquired the 88.3 frequency from Wasatch Public Media in October 2023.

Many Native Americans in Utah who want to become a therapist have not been able to pass the final exam. But state lawmakers made a big change this year — as of May, prospective therapists no longer have to pass that test to get licensed.

Christian Malanga, a one-time Salt Lake City resident, led a failed coup in Congo
According to the official description of events, three Americans formed an unlikely band under the leadership of Malanga, and eccentric opposition figure who dabbled in gold mining and used cars before persuading his Utah-born son to join in the ill-fated coup attempt. Six people, including Malanga, were killed in the attack early Sunday.
