The five state finalists — Tennessee, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Utah and Idaho — have agreed to accept nuclear waste from around the country in exchange for federal help to develop nuclear energy and create thousands of jobs.

The Human Rights Campaign says at least 150 bills targeting transgender people have been introduced this year — including gender-affirming care bans for minors that have been enacted in South Dakota and Utah.
