A dozen incumbent legislators in Utah are facing primary challengers this year. And for many current legislators, the rallying cry against them is about their involvement in the controversial tax reform bill passed at the end of 2019.

KUER, NPR Utah will add a third reporter to its growing statewide coverage project, the station announced today. Lexi Peery, a print and radio journalist based in St. George, is set to join the station’s Southwest Utah bureau in June as part of KUER’s ongoing partnership with the national service program Report for America.

Elaine Clark named news director, Andrew Becker to lead investigative initiative; Newsroom editor, external communications staff join KUER team

New leadership roles, new positions and a new investigative reporting initiative are coming to KUER, the station announced today. The plan includes new staff for KUER News and external communications, as well as new responsibilities for the NPR member station’s current editorial leaders.
