Conflicts in Africa are often financed by the sale of diamonds. These diamonds, outside of the DeBeers monopoly, often are traded for AK-47's and rocket launchers, favorites of milita groups and rebel armies throughout Africa. Guest Ralph Hazelton of Partnership Africa Canada will talk about these troubled 'blood diamonds' and how the U.S. market eventually buys 60% of these diamonds.
