3/1/10: Architecture and Solutions

Architect and researcher Edward Mazria
Architect and researcher Edward Mazria

By Doug Fabrizio

Salt Lake City, Utah – Across the US there are 275 billion square feet of building space, and the building sector consumes nearly half of the energy we use. That's almost the same as transportation and industry combined. When the architect Edward Mazria uncovered that number, he saw an opportunity. If we could transform our buildings, we could create jobs, cut back on energy and help the environment in one fell swoop. Monday, Mazria and others join Doug to talk about the solutions in sustainable building.
