By Doug Fabrizio
Salt Lake City, Utah – Monday, Doug talks with historian Fred Donner about the earliest days of Islam. Donner has written a new book called "Muhammad and the Believers," and in it, he challenges the traditional views of the founding of the faith. Donner says that Muhammad led what could be called a "Believer's movement," a religious reformation that emphasized strict monotheism and included righteous Christians and Jews. He joins us to describe the original vision of Islam - and its eventual emergence as a distinct religion.
