By Doug Fabrizio

Salt Lake City, Utah – It's been 25 years since Mark Hofmann's bombs killed two people in Salt Lake City, but his crimes are still making headlines. The 1985 murders were an attempt to cover forgeries of historic documents that earned Hofmann nearly a million dollars before he was arrested. Just last month, another piece was linked to him and experts say there are likely many more to be found. Monday, we're revisiting the Mark Hofmann case to ask what happened then and why it matters today.

  • Read Christopher Smart's article "Mystery of deadly bomber Hofmann endures after 25 years" in The Salt Lake Tribune
  • Steve Mayfield will present a lecture called "Mark Hofmann Revisited" Monday, October 18 from 7-9 p.m. The event will be held at the Hurst Center Dumke Legacy Hall at Weber State University. For more information, click here
