By Doug Fabrizio

Salt Lake City, Utah – On Monday linguist John McWhorter joins Doug to explore the nature of language. McWhorter says language is a chaotic, growing garden that's always changing. His new book tears down the idea of a so-called proper language. For McWhorter, slang is just as correct as Standard English, and "c u later" just as legitimate as "goodbye." His book is called What Language Is.
