Salt Lake City, UT –
Our genome contains all of the DNA information needed to build and maintain our bodies. These days it costs about 10 thousand dollars to sequence a personal genome, compared to hundreds of millions when the first genome was sequenced ten years ago. In the not-so-distant future, all of us may have our genome sequenced -- and that could change the face of medicine. But a precedent-setting lawsuit involving gene patents, currently in federal court, may impact this new technology. Kim Schuske reports.
