On Wednesday, April 17, we’re screening The Infiltrators at 7 p.m. at the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center in downtown Salt Lake City. It’s part of our Through the Lens series, our partnership with Utah Film Center. Director Alex Rivera will be there for a post-film Q&A with RadioWest's host Doug Fabrizio. This is a free event.

Cristina Ibarra and Alex Rivera's film The Infiltrators tells the true story of young immigrants who were arrested by Border Patrol and put in a detention center—on purpose. It’s about what happens to detained migrants, and what it takes to free them.

Wednesday, we continue our documentary film series with the true story of young immigrants who were arrested by Border Patrol and put in a detention center—on purpose. Marco and Viri are part of a group of radical Dreamers on a mission to stop deportations. The best place to do that, they believe, is from the inside. With their film The Infiltrators, directors Cristina Ibarra and Alex Rivera blend documentary and re-enactment to show what happens to detained migrants, and what it takes to free them.

You can find more information at RadioWest, or on the Facebook event page.
