About the Utah Diaper Bank:

The Utah Diaper Bank was organized in 2013 by a few concerned individuals who saw a community need for an organized approach to collecting and distributing diapers. In 2013, there were diaper banks in 35 states, but none in Utah. Safety-net programs, including SNAP and WIC, do not cover the cost of diapers, and low-income parents can't take advantage of free or subsidized childcare if they can't afford to provide diapers. In addition, most people living in poverty do not have affordable access to washing facilities, and most coin-operated laundromats don't allow customers to wash cloth diapers. The Utah Diaper Bank is a statewide organization, serving the Wasatch Front along with St. George, Cedar City, Richfield, Price, Green River, Moab, Duchesne, Roosevelt and Vernal. The Utah Diaper Bank supports diaper drives and distributes more than 35,000 diapers/month to other non-profits, including food banks, shelters and low income clinics. They are on-track to distribute more than 500,000 diapers in 2019.
