LDS President Thomas S. Monson Hospitalized
Thomas S. Monson, the president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, was hospitalized Monday evening.
A statement from the church says that President Monson was admitted to the hospital after not feeling well and that “He has received treatment and fluids and will hopefully be released soon.”
The 89-year-old church leader was noticeably absent from two of the past weekend’s five General Conference sessions. The president typically presides over the entire conference held twice annually. A spokesman at the time said Monson was weary but well.
