"Tipping Point: A River Reimagined" is a live town hall that will explore what comes next for the Colorado River Basin as it deals with the consequences of drought, rising temperatures and overuse. A new framework from the Trump administration proposes significant water cuts for certain areas along the basin, including Arizona, California and Nevada. Meanwhile, questions remain about how to best manage this critical water source over the long term.
The webcast, scheduled for 7 p.m. EDT / 5 p.m. MDT, will be hosted by PBS News science correspondent Miles O’Brien and will feature state water negotiators, tribal representatives, scientists and farmers working to reimagine the Colorado River's next chapter.
